CASO MEETING MINUTES

JANUARY 17, 2010

The meeting was held at the new Mrs. Q’s location with 54 members in attendance.  Glenn Cave, Director, called the meeting to order at 2:35 p.m.  Thank you Ron and Linda Quadros for the use of your new place!

Guests:  2 Guests were present:  Joe Howe; Steve Johnson

Minutes:  There were no minutes for December due to the Christmas party and no meeting held.  The minutes from November 2009 were approved by all, as written in the Klaxon.

Treasurer’s Report:  Ron Quadros read the report of all monies received and all monies paid out.  A motion was made, seconded, and all agreed to accept as read.

Dues are Due:  Reminder that the CASO dues of $20.00 and the CHVA dues of $25.00 are now due.

February Meeting:  February 14 will be a tour to a winery and then off to McKee Bridge for the meeting and lunch.  The caravan will leave Rays in Central Point at 10:30 a.m. leave at 11:00

OLD BUSINESS:

   T-Shirt Committee:  Dennis Warrender presented the artwork for the shirts.  He has found a company           with lower prices than last years.  Price information will be available soon.

Lost Creek Car Show:  Glenn Cave has the flyer made and ready for printing.  The artwork has also been prepared for the dash plaques.  Both were presented at the meeting.  Glenn presented the approximate costs for dash plaques ($345); receipt books (3@ $5.99 ea); flyers (about $100 for 2000); printing of registrations forms; trophy down payment (amount not yet known); and $50 for miscellaneous items needed, such as paint, etc.  A motion was made, seconded, and agreed by all to order all necessary needed items for the show and to pay the bills as they become available.

A request was made to not send dash plaques out in advance of the car show to avoid duplicate plaques given out.

The floor was opened to suggestions of charities that we can donate some of the proceeds from the car show.  Since flyers need to be ready before the Street Rods show in Feb, it was decided to print “donation will be made to a local charity of our choice” on the flyer to allow us time to choose a charity.  Ken Olsen was appointed Charity Committee Chairman and he will choose a couple members to research local charities.  These will be presented at the Feb. meeting and a final vote will be made at the March Meeting.

Christmas Party 2009:  We had a great turn out for the Christmas party at the Rogue Regency Hotel.  Ken    and Gayle Olsen volunteered to find a location for next year’s party.  They will report at the February  meeting.

NEW BUSINESS:

2010 Tours:  Glenn announced suggestions of tours, which was compiled by Linda Quadros last year.  The list was passed around with a sign-up sheet for hosting meeting tours.  A few months are still left open, so if you would love to host a tour, please contact Glenn.

Street Rods Custom Rods Show:  The show is scheduled on Feb. 19, 20, and 21.  Thank you to all who have signed up to work the front door.  Our club will have a display titled “Mellow Yellow.”  We are still looking for decent items to add to the display, so please contact Glenn Cave before Feb. 19^th if you have any items that can be borrowed.  Anyone who is available to help with set up is appreciated at the Expo at 1:00 p.m. on Feb. 19.

   50/50 Drawing:  Dennis Stull won $54.00.
